FitFlops, meet Fashion.

Last year Marcia Kilgore, founder of the now-ubiquitous Bliss Spa chain, launched a range of leg-toning flip flops that featured a patent–pending microwobble board midsole that – biomechanically speaking – ‘loads’ your legs muscles more. “They’re flip-flops with a gym built-in”, says Kilgore.

Kirna Zabete owners Beth Buccini and Sarah Easley loved the FitFlop’s foot feel, function, and fitness-giving concept but could not find a pair from the basic selection of black, red or blue sportsters that would suit a Balenciaga dress or a Rick Owens jacket. “We knew we had to have them,” says Buccini, “but our clients would want the urban cool girl version.”

Conceived and designed by a groovy young Italian footwear designer, then tweaked with a little pushing and pulling from us, this fabulous FitFlop has got function, fitness, fashion. Just what the Kirna Zabete urban fashionista deserves as she makes her way through the fashion capitals of the world.

This limited edition Aurelia FitFlop is available in kid leather black and snakeskin exclusively from KirnaZabete.com.

If you've ever walked in these shoes, you'd know they're for physically fit people because they're actually working your legs when you're walking; therefore, they're difficult to walk in.
